Can I return a plissee that is 8 millimetres too narrow?
Not as a change-of-mind or fit error. The shop’s own return notes say a made-to-measure plissee is unique and not resalable, so a miss on fit cannot be sent back. An 8 millimetre gap is usually a measuring or mount-type error, not a loom error. If you entered bead width and they already deducted 3 millimetres, that gap may be the deduction working as designed plus a tape error on your side. Re-order the correct millimetres. Keep the too-narrow blind for a smaller window or a closet if it is usable. Will clamps hold on a PVC tilt-and-turn window?
Often yes, if the gasket is the right profile and the clamp’s rear hook has space. Often no, if the sash is flush, metal-reinforced in a way that blocks the hook, or so shallow the clamp chews the rubber. The shop cannot see your gasket through the configurator. Take a side-on photo and use the WhatsApp number before you commit four bedrooms to clamps. If the window rarely opens, adhesive rails avoid the clamp question altogether. If you open the sash daily, test that the plissee does not crash into the handle and that the clamps do not walk after a week of tilting. A clamp that marks a rental sash is a deposit problem. A screw in a bead can be a bigger one. Choose with the lease in hand.
Does the honeycomb actually darken a bedroom?
Thermo-Wabenplissee is sold as light-impermeable blackout material with a thermo core. Real rooms still leak at the edges unless you ordered side guides or a generous sash overhang.
