Dunny is the house rabbit: sizes, joints, and artist editions
A Dunny is Kidrobot’s rabbit-shaped vinyl art figure, created in 2004 by Paul Budnitz and Tristan Eaton as a shared body that guest artists paint, sculpt, and accessorize. The official What Is a Dunny page lists common sizes at 3 inches, 5 inches, 8 inches, and 20 inches, plus occasional 4-foot Art Giant sculptures. Standard Dunnys have three points of articulation: a rotating head and two movable arms. Kidrobot’s history notes that the first 3-inch blind-box series included Frank Kozik, Superdeux, Sket One, and Tristan Eaton, and that the platform later won a Designer Toy Awards Hall of Fame nod. Treat each Dunny as a limited art object, not a playset with spare parts.
The 8-inch aisle on 20 September 2026 was mostly licensed resin and vinyl collabs sold as pre-orders, with ship windows printed on each product page. Labbit is a separate rabbit character Kidrobot produced from Frank Kozik’s poster art. The official Labbit page traces the name to a Japanese package misprint that read Smorkin Labbit, after which the character stuck. Phunny is Kidrobot’s licensed character plush, usually an 8-inch-scale display figure rather than a nursery toy. Several Phunnys listed at $16.99 on 20 September 2026, including Bloody Ghost Face and The Simpsons Itchy Interactive. Two-packs such as Corpse Bride Victor and Emily were $32.99. City Cryptid Dunnys and The Simpsons Treehouse of Horror Series 2 started from $14.99. If a blind-box figure is defective, Kidrobot replaces it with another random box and will not hunt the same character, because sealed cases are blind to the warehouse too.
Payment hits immediately; mixed carts wait for the slowest SKU
Checkout charges immediately. The Comic-Con exclusives FAQ, which restates storewide payment rules, lists major credit cards, PayPal, and Shop Pay. Sales tax is added where required. Promo codes apply only to USA orders over $20, cannot be stacked, and cannot be added after checkout. You cannot cancel, edit, or reroute a cart. It is the right counter for ship-from-warehouse authenticity instead of a marketplace screenshot. Skip the shop if you need a 30-day change-of-mind return, if you must cancel a pre-order after payday, or if you only have a P.O. Box. Skip it if you are buying a first toy for a toddler and you need washable, age-graded playthings with spare parts. Skip it if mint packaging is the whole point: Kidrobot does not guarantee boxes. Can I cancel a Dunny pre-order after my card is charged?
No. The shipping and return pages state that all sales at Kidrobot.com are final, that all pre-order sales are final, and that Kidrobot will not modify, reroute, or cancel an order once placed. Payment is taken immediately. A Dunny that will not leave the warehouse until 2027 is still a completed purchase on the day you check out. The only customer-facing refund path the company describes for a pre-order is if Kidrobot itself cancels production, in which case it says it will notify you by email and issue a refund. If you might need to change address or wait on a paycheck, do not place the order. Read the estimated ship window on the product page and treat it as a warehouse guess, not a doorstep promise.
Will Kidrobot ship a Labbit or plush to a P.O. Box or APO?
Usually no. The shipping policy tells you to enter a complete non-P.O. Box address and notes that some named carriers do not service P.O. Box or APO addresses. The Comic-Con exclusives FAQ repeats that Kidrobot.com cannot ship to P.O. boxes. If a parcel comes back undeliverable or refused, Kidrobot cancels the order and refunds the total minus a $15 restocking fee; orders under $15 get no refund. You will not get a chance to paste a better address after checkout. Use a location where a driver can leave a trackable package. Kidrobot says it can help contact the carrier if a shipment is missing and, in select cases, may replace or refund, but proof of delivery ends the shop’s responsibility.
What if my vinyl figure arrives broken or missing an arm?
Email help@kidrobot.com within 14 days of delivery with your name, order number, photos, and a description of the damage. A significant defect means something like a figure broken in half or missing parts, not a small paint nick on a limited run. If the defect qualifies and stock exists, the shop will exchange it; if not, it may offer an alternate item or store credit. You need a Return Authorization Number before you ship anything back, written on the outside of the box. Original packaging and accessories must come back or you may be charged 15 percent or $15, whichever is greater. Kidrobot will not replace an item solely because the box was crushed. Packaging is treated as protection, not as a guaranteed collectible.
Should I put a Coraline plush in the same order as a 2027 Dunny?
You can, but the whole cart waits. Kidrobot’s product pages state that an order does not ship until every pre-order item in it has arrived at the warehouse. A $59.99 in-stock Coraline 24-inch plush sitting next to a Q2 2027 Big Mac Dunny will not leave Hillside until that Dunny is ready. The company recommends separate orders for pre-order SKUs and in-stock SKUs. You will still pay two shipping calculations unless each cart independently meets a promotion. Free contiguous-USA standard shipping at $75 does not apply to oversized Art Giants or XXL plush and does not cover Alaska, Hawaii, or U.S. territories.
