The FY26 annual report dated 14 August 2026 counted 80 stores across Australia and New Zealand: 75 in Australia and five in New Zealand, within about an hour of around 80 percent of Australia's population. Our Story names Bugaboo, Silvercross, Steelcraft, Britax Safe n Sound, Maxi Cosi, Infasecure, Ergobaby, Boori, Oricom, Medela, Bonds, Huggies, and Bright Starts. Stores add gift registry, Click & Collect, accredited car-seat fittings, in-store layby, and parenting rooms with a microwave, change table, baby scales, and glider chairs. Skip it if you only want the cheapest weekly nappy run, live outside the delivery map, or planned a hospital trip around capsule hire — that hire page currently says the service is unavailable. Fold the pram in the aisle before you pay four figures
A pram is the item most people over-buy from a photo. Baby Bunting's edge is that you can usually fold a floor model and check whether the bassinet is in the box. Treat every price here as listed on 17 September 2026. The UPPAbaby Vista V3 with bassinet in Grey Jacquard Savannah (129767) was $1,549, down from $1,799. Jake (129768), tagged Only at Baby Bunting, sat at $1,799. The Bugaboo Donkey 5 Mono in Black/Midnight (121328) was $1,399 on clearance. The Nuna MIXX Next in Caviar (118505) was $1,299.99 and flagged Click & Collect only. Free standard delivery over $199 excludes prams, strollers, and car seats, so a four-figure stroller can still show freight — or you load the boot yourself after collect.

Car seats, $54 fittings, and the line this guide will not cross
Australian road rules set when a child may use a given seat, and manufacturers print weight, height, and rear-facing limits on the box. As listed on 17 September 2026, the Britax Safe-n-Sound Graphene EA Lux in Raven Black (134877) was $399. The Maxi-Cosi Nero Convertible in Midnight (132506) was $349, down from $729, with extended rear-facing copy up to 30 months and a spec table that says it is not travel-system compatible. A compact seat that fits three-across in one car may not fit yours. Installation is paid: $54 for one seat, $95 for two, $139 for three, booked online or in store, usually in the car park. Junior stores do not offer it. Capsule hire is currently listed as unavailable, so do not plan a hospital run around a loan seat.
Cots, chests, and the $199 free-delivery asterisk
Nursery furniture is where the delivery policy stops being a slogan. The Boori Alice Cot in Almond (133871) was $499 as listed, tagged Only at Baby Bunting, newborn to five years. The Apollo Cot, Chest and DuoCore Mattress Package (BUNDLE_18740) was $1,999. Both are big-and-heavy goods the free-over-$199 offer carves out, along with drawers and nursery chairs. The delivery hub lists a dedicated Big and Heavy option; the exact fee is shown at checkout for your postcode and was not a single flat number on the public free-delivery page we checked. All Northern Territory postcodes are excluded from that free offer, as are named remote ranges in Queensland, South Australia, Western Australia, and Tasmania.

Huggies Nappies Mega Newborn Size 1 (160-pack, 106593) and Infant Size 2 (144-pack, 110194) were both $59 as listed. The Bonds Newbies Coverall in Pink (110089) was $22.99. The Ergobaby Omni Deluxe Mesh Carrier in Onyx Black (132871) was $399; the Medela Solo Hands-Free Single pump (131553) was $249. Pumps and skincare are shelf products, not a treatment plan. Click & Collect is free on eligible Baby Bunting goods: order before 1:30 p.m., collect within 14 days of the ready notice. Same-day delivery is $14.95 from a $50 cart, or $19.95 under $50, inside 15 km of a participating store, ordered before 12 p.m., $10 minimum and $2,000 maximum after rewards. Scheduled delivery uses the same fees with a 1:45 p.m. cutoff. Marketplace and many online-only lines are out of collect.
BB Family, a 5% Price Beat, and a 12-week layby
Baby Bunting Family is free to join. Loyalty terms list a $10 welcome reward, a $10 birthday reward per child aged one to three (up to two children a year) if the birth month and year sit on My Family Profile at least a week before the birthday month, fee-free layby instead of the usual $5, and a 60-day change-of-mind window. Rewards expire at the end of the 60th day. The Price Beat Promise says it will beat a lower Australian competitor price on an identical stocked item of $50 or more, including delivery, by 5 percent. It will not beat marketplace goods, overseas-shipped products, member-only competitor prices, tickets under $50, liquidations, competitor services, exclusive lines, or another Baby Bunting store — that last case is a match, not an extra 5 percent.
Layby is in-store only: 20 percent deposit, $5 non-refundable fee unless you are a Family member, goods held up to 12 weeks, fortnightly payments at the same store. It is not available online or at Baby Bunting Junior; Afterpay is the named substitute. Cancellation can cost up to 20 percent of the initial layby value. Layby terms bar loyalty rewards on deposits; the Family page says a $10 reward can help at setup, so ask which rule is live. Payments listed on the payment page include Mastercard, Visa, UnionPay, American Express, PayPal, Afterpay, Pay by Bank, Apple Pay, Google Pay, ZipPAY, ZipMoney, eftpos, gift cards or eVouchers, and cash in store. Same-day vans will not leave $250-plus orders at the door without a PIN.

Marketplace tiles that look like the rest of the aisle
The website is also a marketplace. Terms for goods sold on babybunting.com.au say independent third-party sellers list products beside Baby Bunting stock. A Sold & Shipped By note means that seller, not Baby Bunting, will pack and post, and checkout can add that seller's postage. Card details stay with Baby Bunting's checkout. Marketplace goods are excluded from the 5 percent Price Beat Promise, Click & Collect, Baby Bunting's in-store change-of-mind returns, and free courier over $199. Each seller publishes its own return rules. If you need a store to inspect a fault, a Baby Bunting-sold SKU is the simpler ticket. If the third-party price is the only reason you clicked, budget a seller-led return, not a trip to the local nursery store.
Change-of-mind windows and the hygiene list a store will not take back
Australian Consumer Law still sits under every sale. On top of that, Baby Bunting's change-of-mind policy for goods it sells offers an exchange, store credit, or refund within 30 days, and an exchange or store credit after 30 days. Family members get 60 days. You need proof of purchase, and the item must be unused, in original packaging, with tags, seals, and bonus pieces. Refunds go to the original payment method; gift-card buys return to a gift card. Exclusions include gift cards, clearance and ex-display, marketplace, food, infant formula, maternity briefs, baby swimwear, toilet-training gear, and unsealed close-skin items such as dummies, teats, pumps, and skincare. Gift registry does not lock price or stock; treat the price a guest sees on purchase day as the live one.

Can I Click & Collect a marketplace order?
No. Click & Collect terms say the option is not available on Marketplace goods, and the delivery hub repeats that the two-hour collect service excludes products sold and shipped by marketplace sellers. Online-only Baby Bunting lines can also sit outside collect. If checkout does not offer Click & Collect after you pick a store, treat that as the answer for that SKU. Collect is meant for eligible Baby Bunting-sold stock the nominated store can stage, with orders before 1:30 p.m. aimed at a two-hour ready window and a 14-day pickup limit from the ready message. If you need the item today and the seller is a third party, use a Baby Bunting-sold alternative or the seller's courier timeline instead of driving to a store.
How does the 5% Price Beat Promise actually work?
It applies to identical products, including colour, ticketed at $50 or more, in stock at an Australian competitor, and available at Baby Bunting, including promotional lines that are not otherwise excluded. Include the competitor's delivery cost. Submit the online form or ask in store. It will not beat marketplace listings on Baby Bunting's own site, overseas-shipped goods, member-only competitor prices, liquidation or clearance, competitor services, or another Baby Bunting store's ticket — that last case is a match, not an extra 5 percent. Exclusive Baby Bunting products are out. Verbal quotes do not count. If the cheaper offer is a bundle, Baby Bunting says it price-matches the bundle rather than beating it. Keep a dated screenshot that shows delivery before you submit.
Do they still hire capsules, and what is a Baby Bunting Junior store?
Capsule and car-seat hire is currently listed as unavailable in Baby Bunting stores. The hire page points you to buying a seat and booking an accredited installation instead. Do not plan a hospital run around a loan capsule unless that page has changed on the day you need it. Baby Bunting Junior is a small-format shopping-centre pilot described in the FY26 report as a curated store for time-poor parents on a daily route. Car-seat installation and in-store layby are already called out as unavailable there. Use Junior for a shorter browse and for Afterpay as named on the layby page, then travel to a full-format store for fittings, layby, and the larger pram and cot floor. Confirm services on that store's finder page before you book an installer.
What if I live in the Northern Territory or a listed remote postcode?
Free standard delivery over $199 is not a national blanket. The policy lists all Northern Territory postcodes as excluded, plus ranges in Queensland, South Australia, Western Australia, and Tasmania printed on the free-delivery page. Marketplace lines, prams, strollers, car seats, hire, same-day, scheduled, and big-and-heavy furniture are excluded even when your postcode otherwise qualifies. Same-day and scheduled vans only appear if you are within 15 km of a participating store. If you are in Darwin, Alice Springs, or a listed remote band, Click & Collect at a store you can actually reach may beat hoping the $199 threshold wipes the freight. Put the cot or pram in the cart, enter the address, and read the live fee.
Can I return a car seat or a dummy if I change my mind?
A dummy, soother, teat, teether, or unsealed pump kit is on the hygiene exclusion list for change-of-mind returns, so opening that pack is usually a keep. Car seats are not named on that list the way formula and dummies are, but the general rule still demands unused goods in original packaging with seals intact. Once a seat has been installed, it is hard to call it unused. Family members have 60 days; everyone else has 30 days for a refund path, with exchange or credit after that on Baby Bunting-sold goods. Clearance and ex-display seats are excluded. Faulty goods still sit under Australian Consumer Law: take proof of purchase to a store for assessment rather than arguing change of mind. Ask before you cut any seal if you think you might send it back.
