Two lines, one logo
Wolfsblut sells dog food through wolfsblut.com. The brand sits with Healthfood24 in Leipzig; AlphaPet, based in Munich, bought the company in 2020. That is why you see the same wolf in a shop and on this site. The split that matters is on the bag. Original is the everyday line. VetLine is the dietetic line, the one made for a clinical reason and, on the brand’s own account, produced in Germany. They are not interchangeable because the illustration matches.
On 27 September 2026 a previous check of this site almost put a VetLine renal bag in the cart because every recipe looked like the same «natural» choice. That mistake is still the one to avoid. A dietetic food is a veterinary tool. An everyday food is dinner. If your vet named a renal, intestinal, or weight diet, you buy that recipe and you do not freestyle a second protein on top because a forum liked the wolf.
- Use it if you will read complete feed versus dietetic and follow the vet’s recipe name.
- Use it if you can store a bag properly and weigh the scoop instead of pouring by eye.
- Skip it if you wanted a fashion grain-free switch your clinic already refused.
- Skip marketplace listings that will not say where the lot was packed.
How a bag should be chosen
Match the life stage and the job. Puppy, adult, light, and a named VetLine diet are different products. Read whether the bag says complete feed. Then read the kcal if you are measuring, because a richer kibble overfeeds a scoop that used to suit another brand. Change food over several days. A sudden swap is how people decide a brand «did not agree» with a dog who simply got a new menu overnight.
Open the exact recipe your vet or your current bag names, not the first wolf you see.
See Wolfsblut →Dietetic is not a mood. If the bag is a clinical diet, treat it like one.

What stays unpublished here
I am not listing every protein and every price. They move, and a catalog is how this page would go stale. The Leipzig office on Tschaikowskistraße is the letterhead if you need a batch complaint. Photograph the lot number before you throw the sack away. A specialist shop lets you see the kibble in your hand. The website lets you see the recipe tree. Either is fine. A random marketplace tile with no lot is not.
Questions
Is VetLine the same as Original? No. VetLine is the dietetic range. Do not substitute it, or substitute with it, on a whim.
Is this medical advice? No. If the dog is ill, the clinic picks the diet. This page only stops you mixing lines by accident.
Where is the company? Healthfood24 in Leipzig, brand owned via AlphaPet since 2020.
Does the affiliate link land on the brand? It should finish on wolfsblut.com.
