Stop writing to the drive before you even open easeus.com
The first useful move after a delete or a format is to stop saving new files onto that same volume. A recovery program reads leftover clusters. A new download or a Windows update can overwrite the bytes you still want. EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard is the product people open after a dead USB or an emptied Recycle Bin. The buying problem is the paywall after the scan names your files. You are deciding whether a one-computer license at $69.95 for a month, $99.95 for a year, or $149.95 for lifetime upgrades is cheaper than a bench shop that quotes you after they open the drive.
The legal name on the contact page is CHENGDU Yiwo Tech Development Co., Ltd., at 12 F, Building 1, Idealism Center, No. 38 Tian Yi Street, Hi-tech Zone, Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China, postcode 610041. The company says it was formally established in 2004, after a 2003 DOS tool called Partition Table Doctor. Data Recovery Wizard arrived in 2005, Partition Master in 2006, Todo Backup in 2009, and a Mac recovery build in 2015. Sales sit at sales@easeus.com. Tickets sit at support@easeus.com. The lifetime Windows recovery page also printed 1-800-992-8995 next to remote assistance.
The homepage banner said 530 million users. The About page said 5 million-plus happy customers. Those two figures cannot both be a careful count. I am treating them as marketing, not as a number I verified from order logs or an install census.

I opened the cart on 26 September 2026 on easeus.com/brand/purchase/drw.html and easeus.com/datarecoverywizardpro/drw-pro-buy.html. Windows Individual licenses were $69.95 for one month, $99.95 for one year, and $149.95 for lifetime upgrades. Each plan is one license for one computer, with remote assistance on the card. The month and year SKUs say the license is valid for that period after activation and that no renewal fees apply. A 2024 note on kb.easeus.com repeats the split: Data Recovery Wizard is a one-time purchase with no automatic subscription, unlike Partition Master and Todo Backup. Mac Individual cards the same day were $89.95, $119.95, and $169.95. A Windows serial will not activate the Mac build.
The same checkout pushed bundles. A Windows-plus-Mac annual pair was $153.93 against a $219.90 strikethrough. The lifetime pair was $223.93 against $319.90. An Education tab cut the Windows month, year, and lifetime stickers to $41.97, $59.97, and $89.97. Who qualifies for Education, and what proof the cart asks for, was unpublished. I did not finish a student checkout, so I will not invent the ID upload.

The 2GB free restore is a gate, not a finished rescue
The free Windows page advertised recovery of up to 2GB on Windows 11, 10, 8, and 7. Pro is what removes that cap and adds BitLocker volumes, NAS targets, remote consultation, photo and video repair, Office-document repair, and a WinPE bootable USB for a machine that will not start. Published file systems were FAT12, FAT16, FAT32, exFAT, NTFS, NTFS5, ext2, ext3, HFS+, and ReFS. Hardware minimums looked leftover from an older installer: 32MB of disk, an x86 CPU, and 128MB of RAM. The same spec listed Windows Server 2022 back through 2003. A Pro license is still the one-computer consumer card unless you are on a Technician thread with sales.
The Mac free FAQ is more specific than the Windows marketing block. Trial can preview and cannot save. Free can write up to 2GB. It also says the default free space is 500MB and that another 1.5GB comes after a social-media share. I did not run a fresh Mac installer on 26 September 2026, so I cannot tell you whether that share step still fires. The Mac spec listed APFS, HFS+, HFS X, FAT16, FAT32, exFAT, and NTFS, and it named OS X 10.9 through current macOS. The live page also rendered a garbled macOS 27-12.0 line. That looks like a catalog typo. The Mac App Store build required macOS 10.15 or later.
Setup is a download, not a carton. You fetch the Windows or Mac installer from easeus.com, pick the volume where the files vanished, and let a quick scan run before a deeper pass. Their Mac FAQ estimates 10 to 12 hours for a healthy 1TB drive. That is their published range, not a stopwatch from this desk. Filter by type or name, preview what still has a thumbnail, then decide whether a paid serial is worth it. Write recovered files to a different disk. After a card payment they say a license code and a download URL land in email within a few minutes. PayPal and wire transfer can lag.
Todo Backup Home is a different clock than Data Recovery Wizard
Todo Backup Home is the product you buy before the delete, not after. On the Home buy page the yearly card was $39.95 for one computer with one year of free upgrades and standard support, and the page printed Cancel anytime. A perpetual Current license was $59.95 with no free upgrade. Lifetime upgrades were $79.95 with premium support. A forty-percent promo cut those figures to $23.97, $35.97, and $47.97. The comparison chart labeled the middle SKU $59.95/Current — a snapshot of the version you bought, not every future major release. Those Home prices were marked VAT excluded.
Home is not the only backup SKU. The comparison table listed Workstation at $49 / $69 / $89, Server at $199 / $299 / $359, and Technician at $999 / $1,399 / $2,499. Home includes file, system, disk, and partition backup, scheduled jobs, a WinPE disk, and clone tools the freeware row leaves out. The main store page printed Home - For Mac at $29.95, while a sister storefront showed $69.95 with lifetime upgrades. I could not reconcile those stickers.

Partition Master is the disk-layout tool, and the Pro license is the first place people mis-buy. On the purchase page Pro was $19.95 for one month, $49.95 for one year, and $69.95 lifetime. Each Pro card is one license for two PCs, with free upgrades during a subscription and lifetime free upgrades on the $69.95 SKU. Monthly and yearly Pro list standard support; lifetime Pro lists premium support. Supported desktop OS on those cards: Windows 11, 10, 8, and 7. If you only need to stretch C: on a family laptop, Pro is the SKU. If you need Windows Server, you are already off this row.
Server was $159 for one year, $199 for two years, and $259 lifetime, covering two PCs or servers and Windows Server 2012 through 2022. Unlimited was $399 / $499 / $599 for multiple machines inside one company. Technician was $599 / $699 / $799. The feature grid is why people pay: resize and move volumes, convert MBR and GPT including a system disk, migrate Windows to an SSD without a reinstall, build a WinPE USB, and recover a deleted partition. Bundle tiles mixed Partition Master Pro with Data Recovery Wizard at promo figures such as $17.97 and $41.97. Those tiles change. Read the line item in the cart.
The refund page is not the homepage's "no questions asked" line
The homepage promised a full refund within 30 days with no questions asked. The policy at easeus.com/sales-faq/refund-policy.html is narrower, and that is the document that matters after a card charge. They say they repay the full purchase price in the currency you paid, with no service fee, if you write support@easeus.com. They also list refusals. After day 30 is out. Non-technical grounds are out, because they point you at the trial. A product that already did its job is generally not refundable. A key bought from a reseller follows that reseller. Tasks the software never claimed to do are a no.
Two more clauses catch people who think they already qualified. If support can walk you through a fix, you are supposed to finish that thread first. If you bought the wrong edition, they want a swap: buy the right SKU and have support refund the unused one, or let them exchange it. Price-adjustment refunds exist only for seven days, only for drops on the official EaseUS page, and not for promo emails that arrive after you already paid. A granted refund deactivates the license. They ask you to uninstall. That is a technical-failure window, not a 30-day taste test. Screenshot the preview list and the exact error before you write.
Pay if the preview already listed the files — walk away if it did not
This shop fits a home or small-office Windows or Mac user who already ran the free scan and can see the documents in the result list. It also fits someone who wants a scheduled system image on one PC and will store that image on a second disk. Partition Master Pro fits a person who has already hit the wall in Windows Disk Management — a C: drive that will not extend, an MBR disk that needs GPT for Windows 11, or an OS move onto a new SSD — and who owns at most two machines. Sales says volume pricing exists if you email a machine count. Their FAQ suggests single licenses under ten systems and Technician above that. That is their rule of thumb, not a quote I received.
Walk away if the drive clicks or drops out of Disk Management. That is hardware, and more scans can make a weak head worse. Walk away if the preview is empty after a deep scan, or if Recycle Bin still holds the file. Walk away if you already use TestDisk or Windows File Recovery and you do not want a $70 month for one job. Walk away if you need Linux as a first-class host, or if you already completed a successful restore and now want your money back. Skip Technician unless you install on a pile of machines.
I will not assign EaseUS a recovery percentage. I will tell you the Windows Data Recovery Wizard license was $69.95 for one month on 26 September 2026, the written refund page requires a technical failure and a support thread, and you should not pay until a preview already listed the files you care about.

What still fails after the serial lands in your inbox
A paid license does not create clusters that were overwritten. It does not repair a clicking mechanism. The company advertises a 99.7 percent recovery rate on marketing pages. I did not run a lab of known-deleted sample sets, so I am not repeating that number as a result. Deep scans can take a workday. Recovered files can keep a name and still refuse to open if the directory metadata is junk. A standard license is tied to the operating system you activated. You can ask support to reset a key when a machine dies. You cannot rent or resell it. VAT may appear at checkout. The US sales-tax line for a personal card was unpublished on the public price cards.
I could not verify three things a careful buyer will still want. I did not complete a paid restore against a drive I had wiped on purpose, so I have no personal hit-rate to publish. I did not confirm whether today's Windows free installer still hides 1.5GB behind a share step the way the Mac FAQ describes. I did not finish a student checkout, and I could not make the $29.95 and $69.95 Mac backup stickers agree. If the scan finds my files, can I still get a refund when the restored copies will not open?
Maybe, and only on the technical path. The policy refunds a product that is faulty or does not perform because of the software itself. It generally refuses a refund after the product has already done its intended job. A preview that looked fine and a restore that writes unreadable files is the gray zone. Document the preview, the save path, and the error. Write support@easeus.com and finish their steps, including any RAW retry they ask for. If they can show you saved onto the source disk, they can close the ticket under the support-can-fix or already-used clauses. There is no published form that lets you skip that thread.
Does the $69.95 one-month Data Recovery Wizard license renew on my card?
Not on the 26 September 2026 purchase copy. The Windows month and year cards say no renewal fees, and they say the license is valid for one month or one year after activation. The knowledge-base article for the 2024 pricing change says Data Recovery Wizard is a one-time purchase with no automatic subscription, while Partition Master and Todo Backup still auto-renew. After thirty days the recovery key expires. Your files stay on disk, but the paid functions stop. If you think you will do this twice, run the math on the $99.95 year or $149.95 lifetime card.
I replaced the PC. Do I have to buy the same product again?
The purchase FAQs say no. You contact support@easeus.com or live chat and ask for a license reset, or you reset the code in the Customer Center after you register the order. The license article says a non-Technician key is tied to the system you activated and is not transferable except when the device is dead or taken out of service. A working old laptop plus a new one is two systems. That is a second license or a reset after you wipe the first install. EaseUS says it will quote a volume discount if you tell sales how many computers you have. I did not receive a sample quote, so that percentage is unpublished here.

The refund page treats a wrong-product order as a swap, not as a no-questions cash-back. You purchase the SKU you actually need, then ask support to refund the unused one, or you ask them to exchange it directly. Do that inside 30 days, and do it before you finish a partition job you did not need. Reseller keys follow the reseller. Keep the order ID. Price-adjustment math is a separate seven-day window and will not fix a wrong-SKU mistake.
Is the free Windows restore 2GB, or 500MB plus a share step?
The Windows free marketing page said up to 2GB. The Mac free FAQ said 500MB by default and another 1.5GB after a social share, and it warned that Trial and Free are different builds.
